Description:  This beer pays tribute to the end of an era for Toronto Transit.  Common Good teamed up with home brewer David Chang-Sang to make a beer to commemorate the recent closure of Scarborough's belove RT train line, a culturally and socially significant for the Scarborough community. (Nita Beer editor's note:  Bridget remembers living in the very east end of Scarborough and navigating to the LRT as it was called in those days to venture to downtown Toronto for some weekend fun!)  The Italian Pilsner style - the "Champagne of lagers" - is so appropriate for this moment in history.

A quick note about pilsners:  The Italian Pilsner is known for dry-hopping giving a beer flavour and aroma characteristic of the hops used.  It is different from the slightly sweet Czech pilsner and the drier, crisper and more bitter German pilsner.
