Description:  Whiprsnapr is going ‘Old School’ for this traditionally styled Altbier. The Altbier is a lovely copper colour, full of locally grown and malted Pilsner and Munich malts from Mississippi Mills Malts. Unlike most German beers, it uses a top-fermenting yeast like an ale but matured at a cooler temp like a lager. German noble hops provide peppery, floral spicy hop flavors with moderate bitterness. The result? Smooth malt forward raisin fruit notes from the malts.  Sharpness of the hops finishes crisp and dry.   Prost!

Some fun facts about Altbiers ... "Alt" means old, referring to a style of brewing before lagering existed. An altbier is typically served in a 0.2L/6 oz becher glass - a tall cylindrical glass that is slightly shorter than a Kolsch serving glass. When in Dusselorf, an altbier is serve right from the cask.  Servers automatically replace your glass when empty, unless you put your coaster on top to let them know that you are done
